B I O G R A P H Y

Ronnie was born in New London, Connecticut and began playing drums at the age of 3.  Because his father was in the U.S. Navy, Ronnie lived in Florida, Hawaii, Washington, and California.  As a result, he grew up listening to many genres of music, such as pop, classical, reggae, rock, salsa, and jazz.

Ronnie's professional career began in Honolulu while studying Music Performance at the University of Hawaii.  He worked with cover bands that played the clubs along the Waikiki strip and the military base circuit.  After graduating from U.H., Ronnie moved to Seattle and became part of many original projects with musical styles ranging from funk to folk.  A few years later, Ronnie relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area and immersed himself in the local recording scene, while playing clubs, festivals, and private events with many different artists and groups.  In 2000, Ronnie moved to Los Angeles and continues to evolve in his approach to playing the drum set in a wide variety of musical situations.

Ronnie has performed, recorded, and toured with:  Mandy Barnett, Merl Saunders, David Pomeranz, Sal Marquez, The Braxton Brothers, Joey Albert, Robin S, The Disneyland Band, Mindi Abair, Jim Brickman, Stephen Bishop, Sal Lozano, Kuh Ledesma, Brandon Fields, Sitali Siyolhowe, Jennifer Paz, Ludacris, Gabe Baltazar, Patrick Palomo, and many others.

In addition to his gig schedule, Ronnie is also a private drum instructor at the Santa Monica Music Center and Culver City Music Center. Contact him for more information about scheduling lessons.
